Adam Jarzebski

Adam Jarzébski was born around 1590 in the small town of Warka, about 60 miles South of Warsaw. Except for a few years in his early 20’s at the Court of Johann Siegmund, Elector of Brandenburg in Berlin and a year in Italy, Jarzébski was composer and instrumentalist at the Royal Chapel in Warsaw. Most of his works were included in the MS, ‘Canzoni e concerti’ of 1627, now lost. He died in Warsaw c. 1650.
