Fabrizio Caroso

Fabrizio Caroso da Sermoneta c.1530 – c.1610 was an Italian dancing master. He published a dance manual, ‘Il Ballarino’, in 1581, and an enlarged version, ‘Nobiltà di Dame’, in 1600.  His main patrons were the Caetani family of Sermonetta, with many connections in Rome also.

This is an arrangement by Caroso of a balletto written by Orazio Vecchi. the original appears in ‘Selva di varia ricreatione’ printed in 1590.
