Johannes Passion

This simple form of the Passion is found in several 16th century manuscripts in churches in Southern Sweden.  The text seems not to be based on the Swedish translation of the Gospels of 1526 or 1541, but is more closely identified with Pedersen’s Danish translation of 1529.  The modern edition is in Monumenta Musicae Svescicae.
