In 1546 a payment of 72 ducats was made to Cåceres as “carrier of the books” for the capella of the Duke of Calabria, Fernando II of Aragon. That’s all we have.
Tau garço, la durundena
These six stanzas and their catchy tune are taken from the middle of a long ensalada under the title of ‘La Trulla’ by Cårceres. It is include in the 1581 print of the ensaldas of Matteo Flecha.
