Emanuel Adriaenssen

Emanuel Adriaenssen lived and worked as a lutenist in Antwerp in the second half of the 16th century.  .He was raised Protestant,but found it necessary to become Catholic when Antwerp fell to the Spanish in 1585.  Several volumes of his fantasias and dances for lute were published in Antwerp in the last quarter of the century.  He died in 1604.
